Your imagination is powerful! Think about how it’s infused into each day. We use our imagination to plan a party or a trip. We use it when we describe an event, give directions, tell a story or solve a problem. And no matter what field of work you’re in, it is an integral part of your day.
Imagination gives us the ability to form pictures and ideas in our minds even though we haven’t experienced them yet. Indeed, it is the ingenuity, insight, and inspiration of imagination that has allowed us to evolve and rise into the creative consciousness of today.
Every new thing ever created in our world was an idea in someone’s mind first. When you think about it, everything from fire to the internet came to us through the power of imagination. Indeed, it’s drawn us from the past, created the present and will inevitably take us into the future.
Imagination makes it possible to experience a whole world inside the mind. It is the essential ingredient of creative visualization, guided meditation, and positive affirmations. What we imagine with faith and feeling comes into being.
Fostering your imagination doesn’t make you a daydreamer or impractical. On the contrary, it strengthens your creative abilities and allows you to shape and reshape your life. As we develop our imaginations to create a world that we want to see, we’ll begin to see that world take life around us.
