Grow personally by offering Sacred Service
With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to serve, volunteer and give of your time. However, the benefits of serving others are enormous to you, your family, and your community. One of the best ways to make new friends and strengthen existing relationships is to commit to a shared activity together. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, especially if you are new to an area. Volunteering also strengthens your ties to your spiritual community and broadens your support network, exposing you to like-minded people with common interests, resources, and fulfilling activities of service.
Volunteering is a fun and easy way to explore your interests and passions. Doing volunteer work you find meaningful and interesting can be a relaxing, energizing escape from your day-to-day routine of work, school, or family commitments. Volunteering also provides you with renewed creativity, motivation, and vision that can carry over into your personal and professional life. The benefits of selfless service are many!
Service is meditation in action; it is the willingness to serve God unconditionally. As the realization of oneness with all beings is awakened, a basic and natural desire arises to be of service in such a way that nothing is asked in return, because serving is its own blessing. Being of service is an unconditional offering to Life, stating affirmatively,
“Yes, I am here to be of service to my brothers, sisters and my planet.”
