“Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.”
This points us in the direction of peace…which is inward. Try as we might to control external circumstances it will never give us to the peace we crave. It may offer temporary relief but permanent peace is found within our own hearts.
Last week we participated in a powerful peace meditation guided by Sister Denise who is part of Brahma Kumaris. Sitting in this meditation I experience a depth of stillness and peace like no other. I offer the link here, so that you can use it at home.
Each one of us is at the helm of a peaceful life. The choice is yours. Even in the hardest circumstances there is peace within. Entering into it and touching that peace will still your whole being. The more you choose that stillness, the more real the experience, and the easier it becomes to keep choosing.
As you release habits that turn away from peace and nurture the ones that expand peace, you create an unshakable foundation upon which you build a happy, rich and authentic life.
