It’s Thanksgiving, the time of year when gratitude just naturally bubbles up from within. It is the opportunity to count your blessings, notice simple pleasures, and acknowledge how much you’ve been given. This is an invitation to live your life from the knowing that everything is a miracle.
Gratitude allows you to shift your focus from what may seem lacking to the abundance that is already present. It opens your heart and lets you see through the eyes of spirit. Of course no one can feel joy and ease 24 hours a day, but it is possible to have a bad day and still find pleasure in the small things.
Living from gratitude is a choice you make each and every moment. So, start each day by thinking of all the things you have to be thankful for; it will set a tone that helps keep your mind on track. There is a sense of security when you consciously live from the inside, out. The decisions you make today are creating the life of your future.
Focus attention on what’s good right now and give thanks for the incredible blessings in your life. Think of the people you love, think of how much they love you in return. And though you may be faced with a few reasons to cry, remember the hundreds of reasons you have to smile.
This is a good life. You are truly, deeply, blessed. Breathe in and allow yourself to feel the fullness in your heart. Then, remember to share your gifts with the world and spread the joy.
