According to Aristotle, knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. So, what comes to mind when you ask the question, “Who am I?” Sibling, parent, child, spouse, friend, or colleague? These may be a few of the roles you play throughout the day, but there is definitely more to you than that!
It was Pierre Teilhard de Chardin who said, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” Thank goodness for this reminder because we need to hear it again and again.
In fact, take a moment right now and imagine yourself as an all-powerful spiritual being. Breathe deep and let this image really sink in. Scan your body from head to toe and notice the impact of that truth on your whole being. Do you feel a sense of lightness, expansion, joy or freedom?
You really are a spiritual being having a human experience, and knowing this is the source of your true power. While you may be tempted to stray, keeping your attention here automatically invites inspiration. And staying aligned with your higher guidance allows you to channel that energy into action.
We all have the instinct within us to create a better world but it means taking divine action. We are being called to bring our dreams, passion, energy and intentions out into the open. Take risks, be bold and release the hero within.
